• Visited HK Disney, which was number 5 out of 6 of our worldwide Disney Parks checklist — Shanghai is our final one!

• Experienced our first mud bath in Calistoga 

• Saw Michael Bublé live in concert!

• Became SFMoMA members — Andy Warhol exhibit

• Went to NY MoMA — saw Starry Night by Van Gogh

• Piloted the Millennium Falcon, had an impromptu Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge photoshoot with Jenna on opening day, drank blue milk, got drunk at Oga’s Cantina

• Relaxed on Venetian Gondolas — totally worth the “touristy” experience!

• Hiked the Dolomites in Italy — breathtaking — the photos do not do it any justice!

• People watched in Milan — it is FASHION central, there’s nothing in the world like it (designer outlets galore)

• Saw Da Vinci’s “The Last Supper”

• Visited Paris for the 3rd year in a row! Our first time having escargot, thanks Andy!

• Dressed up for London Afternoon Teas — the experiences are vast and out of this world!

• Celebrated 10 years graduated from Cal with Sarah’s Mechanical Engineering friends (Class of 2009)

• Watched Harry Potter and the Cursed Child in SF (Both parts in 1 day!)

• Did Ocean Yoga at Aulani for the first time (and inadvertently swam with hammerhead sharks)

In 2019, Sarah embraced her inner party planner and threw awesome events, such as multiple events for her closest girlfriends (Gal-entine’s Day, bachelorette parties, tea party baby showers, birthdays, etc.), a Game of Thrones viewing party, July 4th family hangout, her Mama’s big 65th birthday party, Thanksgiving (twice!) and even a recent Christmas party with wreath making! Sarah brings out the competitive side of her family members when she comes up with fun games throughout the holiday season. She loves spending time with friends and family, and makes every moment count.

Imago Fitness is still her home away from home, and she loves working with clients of all ages as they make changes to their lifestyles. She renewed her personal training and health Coach certifications, ringing up 5 years working in this industry! Toward the end of 2019, she started focusing on pre- and post-natal health since many clients and friends are adding little ones to their families. She is excited to work with women who want to become strong mamas - if you know any women who have this as a goal, send them her way!

With the end of several eras and the beginning of others, 2019 was a year full of growth and transition for Gilbert. As he saw Oracle Arena, Game of Thrones, the Marvel Infinity Saga, and the Star Wars Skywalker Saga come to a close, he also welcomed Chase Center, Disney+ (Mando and the Child!!), and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland with open arms and a custom lightsaber to boot. He learned to be kinder to himself, pay closer attention to his mental health, and to better embrace failure as a part of personal growth.

Gilbert celebrated 6 years at LinkedIn in June, completing his first full year on his new team. He continued learning how to let go of his “manager” hat and came to the realization that he actually enjoyed being a leader without managing others directly. He continues to love coding more and more once again and is getting further involved in mentoring others about how to build scalable and accessible design systems.
